Never pretend you're a Unicorn by sticking a plunger on your head

Month: April, 2013

shout-out to my best friend Samantha- the only friend I give the links to my blogs to

Lucielle Clifton

-I have the same birthday as her and thats really rad.
– She wrote this poem which is also super rad:

what the mirror said
listen,
you a wonder.
you a city
of a woman.
you got a geography
of your own.
listen,
somebody need a map
to understand you.
somebody need directions
to move around you.
listen,
woman,
you not a noplace
anonymous
girl;
mister with his hands on you
he got his hands on
some
damn
body!

she was my firs…

she was my first earthquake

I blew off class to be with my girlfriend

– we (wo)manned a table in the student center about equal pay.
-Refer to my last post to see my standing on equal pay day

-She brought me a daffodil

-I bragged about my lady to a friend who then jumped into a flash mob she was apparently a part of

-went home and napped

-made loud fart noises on eachother’s tummies

-made other loud noises

-made garlic pasta

-complained to the landlord about the bug problem in her house (did not offer him pasta)

-got froyo

-allowed her to make many realizations about her life, especially that sometimes she sounds like Jenna Marbles when she makes a joke

-realized this blog entry isn’t that exciting

-sorry

I will not say nasty things about the oversimplification of equal pay day on a college campus. I will not say nasty things about the oversimplification of equal pay day on a college campus. I will not say nasty things about the oversimplification of equal pay day on a college campus. I will not say nasty things about the oversimplification of equal pay day on a college campus. I will not say nasty things about the oversimplification of equal pay day on a college campus.

The first man t…

The first man to compare the cheeks of a girl to a rose was obviously a poet; the first to repeat it was possibly an idiot

An Elegy to Pope Pius XI and His Dick

The 19th century Catholic Church

Saved the minds of its children

And chopped off the terrible wrongs

Done by the dirty, scummy minds

Of men such as Michelangelo (the heathen)

Pope Pius XI will forever be remembered

As the dick chopper

Who yelled “off with their heads”

To the men in stone

And their rock hard marble members.

He died in a heap of stone dicks

Chopped off of men commemorated

For their masculinity.

Did he cup each one as it was removed?

Whisper a prayer to the dead men

And their dirty parts?

Will the dicks be remembered

As well that His Holiness?

As the owner of the severed members,

Does this make him more of a man?

The Pope has passed, a man of God

Who has saved the children

From homosexuality

By collecting barrels of dicks

And keeping them hidden until his passing

The dick inheritance

Remains unknown.

The Pope has asked

Not to be buried alone.

We Made It!

My mother and I climbed Havasu Falls in the Grand Canyon and it was unlike anything i’ve ever seen. You’re climbing for HOURS through a steep, barren, rocky, dessert until you finally see vegetation- in the form of a cactus. You hike for more hours and come across a bright green tree standing against the orange wall of the canyon. Eventually there are more trees and what sounds like blue birds flying about. You wonder how in hell these things are surviving in the desert. Finally, you come across a run down but quaint Native American reservation where trailers, horse farms, and a helicopter landing sight is built upon a small stream running through. You continue walking, past the village through sand and dust, following the stream. The trail leaves the stream until it meets back up with it as it cascades through green rocks and moss covered pebbles in waterfalls about 50 ft. tall. Excited, we stop to take picture- this must be it- Havasu falls! But then you continue on until you notive the stream you’ve been following stops and there is only mist. HAVASU FALLS! it is a fall 85ft tall which entails the huge waterfall and then small, pure turquoise colored pools that go about up to your waist.

My mother and I played in it all day, jumping off smaller falls, climbing through the stream, and floating in the pools watching for birds.
